Organizational Context
The overall Agile organization is using the following principles :Tribes, Squads, Chapters and Comunity of Expertise.
In a Squad, the members (from 5 to 9) all sit together to design, develop,test, and release to production a valuable software. In the Squad, the ProductOwner priorities the work.
The Tribe is a collection of Squads (limited to 100 people ) that workin related areas.
The Chapter is a transversal regroupment by similar skills or generalcompetency area.
The Community of Expertise is a group of people that want to shareknowledge, tools, code, and practices.
The Test Software Engineer is a member of a Squad - itself in a Tribe -and Chapter. Depending on the need and profile, He/She can also be part of aCommunity of Expertise.
PositionSummary
As a Memberof the Squad, the Data Engineer contributes to all type of tasks of the teamsuch as Analyse, Design, Code, Test, Build, Release and Support.
The day today work is done the Agile way following Scrum, Kanban, XP or any other goodbest practices.
As part ofthe Squad the objective of the Data Engineer, is:
- Todeliver in Production a working software. It includes the documentation, configurationand parameters that can help reaching that goal.
- Tosupport Production by analysis and fixing any bugs that occurs.
As Data Expert,he/she specifically add value on that technical layer but allways keep in mindthe rest of the technical stack as part of the Squad responsibilities, as partof its responsibilities.
Technicalskills
- Technicaldesign and Develop of ETL jobs (Data Stage, Power Center,…)
- DataModelling ( IDA, ErWin,…)
- Datagovernance Tools (IGC, PC Enterprise Data Governance,…)
- Deeptechnical knowledge in Oracle, Unixscripting and Data Modeling
Documentbest practices to improve the management of data resources.
Improve thedata management platform with new or improved functionalities.
Previousexperience
5 years ofexperience on similar technical stack / position
Agile teamexperience with SCRUM or Kanban, XP, ATDD, TDD.
