Amazon is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Project Engineer that can drive innovation, standardization and expansion in our network. As a member of the Spanish Amazon Engineering team you will be responsible for implementing, optimizing and designing Building Infrastructure, Material Handling Equipment and Processes of our existing and future Logistics network.

Responsibilities:
· Support project on expanding our Network
· Review existing installations to facilitate the design and integration of additions
· Provide detailed analysis and planning of new Material Handling solutions and components
· Support project on new concepts for Material Handling solutions
· Prepare specifications and technical detail to fully define the requirements on equipment, material, process and services
· Provide technical documentation such as Buildings layouts, flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details, schedules and budgets.
· Support launch of new sites
· Active involvement in cross functional infrastructure projects
· Provide value engineering/ value analysis
· Ensures adherence to all Health & Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness
Basic Experience:
· 2+ years Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Planning in a Distribution or Fulfillment environment
· Experience in dealing with material handling, flow and capacity
· Industrial Engineering, project management and implementation experience
· Knowledge of mechanical engineering planning and analysis tools; solution driven approach to engineering challenges; advanced computer literacy (AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint); Data-warehouse analysis
· Experience in planning and organizing of technical projects inclusive appropriate prioritization, conflict resolution and delivery to time, need and budget.
· A self-starting team player who is willing to roll up the sleeves
· Open and proactive communication in a multi lingual environment
· Able to operate in open organization structure
· Open minded to consider all facts and perspectives in decision making process
· Knowledge of Six Sigma analytical and process improvement techniques
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
· Candidates will be qualified in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
· Good analytical, team leadership and organizational skills
· Ability to work autonomously
· Hands on working style
· Ability to work under pressure
· Fluent in English and Spanish
Additional Experience:
· Knowledge of at least one other EU language desirable (French, Italian or German advantageous)
