We are currently recruiting for a Statistician to join our team in Barcelona. The Statisticians provide statistical expertise to the project team in support of client deliverables through the development, implementation, and delivery of statistical analysis services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct statistical analysis projects or workstreams and directly contribute to achievement of project deliverables
  • Writes statistical analysis plans, including development of statistical outputs shells
  • Performs statistical analysis, including SAS programming to create statistical outputs (e.g., tables, listings, figures) for projects with moderate scope.
  • Assists with the interpretation of results and explain statistical methodology.
  • Interacts and interfaces with internal project team when communicating the statistical analysis results.
  • Writes statistical reports, technical reports, study reports presentations. Assists with development of abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Other responsibilities
  • Works on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices.
  • Supports proposal writing and business development activities
  • Maintains proficiency of skills and knowledge and remain current with industry trends based current literature, application of new technology, attendance at professional meetings, etc.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods that apply to Phase I-IV clinical trials
  • Strong computer skills, including Statistical programs (e.g. SAS, SPSS or R) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention and accuracy with details
  • Ability to confidently communicate with and effectively present information to internal team.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree or educational equivalent in biostatistics, psychometrics, applied statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or related field; Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in in biostatistics, psychometrics, applied statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or related field and 1 year relevant work experience
  • Experience with programming in SAS and/or R, SPSS and familiarity with implementation of statistical design and analytic methodology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
  • Travel as required
