HR PARTNER

At Amazon, our HR Partner acts as the front-line consultant, adviser, and problem solver to people managers as well as employees, offering consistent and sound advice on people matters, and HR policies and processes. HR Partners operate and are seen as subject matter experts, having in-depth knowledge in company and local programs, processes and policies. They collaborate effectively with other HR Partners, HR specialists, and people managers across the various businesses. A key area of focus for the HR Partner is to increase manager capability, enabling them to be more self-sufficient and drive manager capability on important people programs, policies, tools and processes. Whilst doing this, the HR Partners are continuously raising the bar on harmonizing practice across a geography and sharing best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Responsibilities
· Provides support to senior leaders and managers in a multi-sites region
· Applies understanding of Leadership Principles and values when consulting with employees and managers (i.e.: performance improvement, coaching plans, team meetings, compensation, employee development and promotions)
· Develop the Amazon culture
· Understands key business goals, and business priorities, able to apply to core areas of HR responsibilities in order to prioritize work
· Conducts diagnostics to identify trends & environmental ER or workplace issues, communicates findings
· Partners with management to drive positive ER, or negotiation of works council or labor agreements
· Proactively monitors and acts to address ER or labor changes
· Conducts investigations of employee relations issues in consultation with management
· Supports rollout of compliance initiatives; understands and independently counsels the business regarding local employment law and legislation changes
· Leads site engagement activities and engage with employees/associates
· Understands Amazon Compensation Philosophy in-depth and work closely with managers to understand potential gaps.
· Coach managers on the C&B Philosophy, analyze the data and proactively address compensation issues
· Partner with Compensation and Benefits to influence the Amazon C&B country roadmap.
· Partners with Recruiting to coach managers around and recruiting process and on-boarding
· Understands local market for staffing needs
· Coaches and develops business, site(s) leadership on performance and talent management with the business teams
· Identifies local needs for Learning & Development opportunities and partner with the AWS L&D team for the delivery
· Utilizes Connections data and provides ideas and strategies for how to improve engagement and manager capability
· Identifies gaps in policy and services, makes recommendations for process improvement
· Rolls out new policy changes/services and ensures business adoption and/or understanding of change


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field
· 3-6 years of relevant Human Resources experience
· Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analysis
· Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
· Project management and execution skills
· Coaching and consulting skills
· Experience applying Spanish Labor Law

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
· 6 - 8 years of relevant Human Resources experience
· Strong communication skills; excellent spoken and written English, any additional languages a plus
· Drives recommendations and prioritization. Looks to a lead or manager to put decisions into a broader business context.
· Thrives in a high-pressure environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
· Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team & business
· Labor Law knowledge of other EU countries
