Amazon is currently looking to hire a Regional Technical Due Diligence Real Estate Manager to join the Real Estate team and play a critical role in undertaking due diligence & site assessments for all business streams (Fulfilment Centers/ Sortation Centers / Delivery Stations/ Prime Now buildings) for proposed construction projects across Europe with a focus on France, Italy & Spain. This role can be based in Paris, Milan, Madrid, or Luxembourg.
In this role you will work closely with the Real Estate transactions managers across Europe to assess sites construction feasibility and advise Leadership Teams based on findings.
The successful candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment & be able to manage high workload in an efficient manor. They must have a good understanding of the construction process & the issues that affect cost & programme, along with good communication skills. The role will be highly fulfilling.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
· Leading approved consultants who will be undertaking Environmental & Technical Due Diligence, once sites are selected. Reviewing & commenting on reports before presenting to the business
· Leading approved consultants who will be undertaking permitting reports. Reviewing & commenting on reports before presenting to the business
· Leading approved consultants on assessing noise reports before submitting to the business
· Responsible for dive deep analysis on traffic and noise studies to secure approvals from Leadership Team. Reviewing & commenting on reports before presenting to the business
· Responsible for deep dive analysis on environmental concerns with EHS in EU / US & consultants
· Working closely with Legal and Risk teams in Europe and North America with regards to issues, solutions and approvals
· Running weekly meetings with internal teams and external consultants in order to prepare reports for the business
· Set up clear tracking process that monitors all external parties work / report preparation
· Support EU Pre-Construction Leader on solving design issues on existing warehouses
· Liaising with Construction team on handover of data once pre-construction work is completed
· Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Transportation, Architectural Studies or any related topics.
· Experience as a project manager in the logistics and/or manufacturing field
· Excellent analytical and time management skills
· Ability to communicate in a precise (data-oriented) and structured manner
· Ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
· Able to travel to London at least once a week for meetings
For this role, Amazon will be able to offer coaching in areas where the successful candidate is not experienced (either traffic studies OR due diligence).
· Fluency in French, Italian or Spanish is a strong asset for this position
