At Allianz we’re looking for a Business Analyst in order to join our recently created Branch, based in the Barcelona center.

Allianz Technology is the internal IT provider of Allianz globally. From our Financial Reporting Department we take care of several Group Financial Closing & Reporting systems for Allianz SE. Specifically for the Finance and Accounting department, with headquarter in Munich, we provide an IT solution for regulatory Solvency II Reporting.

The service provides a stable and smooth operation of the “ABACUS – Solvency II QRT reporting” tool (Cloud software solution provided by Bearing Point), that is able to fulfil all Solvency II & ECB (European Central Bank) reporting requirements of Allianz Group and local European OEs. 

The candidate will join the existing Group Consolidation & Reporting Team, based in Barcelona. Working closely with our HQ in Munich, Germany, this is an exciting job opportunity to contribute to the group financial reporting process and work in a fast-paced, multinational environment with a strong focus on best practices. The job requires proper communication and alignment with all stakeholders (software provider, finance department, project teams, internal colleagues, end-users).

 

Key Responsibilities:

Steering of ABACUS software provider (BearingPoint Software Solutions)

  • Change management, review of design and developments.
  • Supervise and manage deployment of new releases & services.
  • Regular communication and tracking of open issues.
  • Support software customizing (through user interface and scripts).
  • Monitor system and application performance.
  • Functional software and end-to-end process testing.

 

Contact person for finance department

  • Understand business requirements and processes to define the related system specifications.
  • Support the Allianz Financial Closing process.

 

Contact person for Allianz Technology project teams and colleagues responsible for feeder systems in Munich and Barcelona

  • Cooperate and support other AZ Technology teams to ensure interface and manage dependencies.
  • Manage work stream delivery of Allianz internal feeder systems.
  • Compliance with our internal IT policies and standards.

 

End-user support (worldwide), training & communication, incident management

  • Ensure end user communication, user guides and training materials.
  • Provide training to end-
  • Work closely with Allianz subsidiaries to ensure data submission deadlines.
  • Support incident resolution.
  • Organize and support User Acceptance Tests.
  • Ensure end user satisfaction.

 

Projects

  • Participation in project work (e.g. new modules, enhancements, process reorganization).

Requisitos

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience:

 

  • University degree or equivalent in IT Computer science with knowledge in Business Administration.
  • Good understanding of finance processes.
  • Relevant IT experience (2-3 years’ experience, ideally in financial services sector).
  • Knowing of Solvency II reporting activities and the reporting tool ABACUS is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written. German is a plus.
  • Experience in organizing and moderating workshops and regular project meetings, including proper documentation.
  • Project management know-how.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate technical issues and incidents.
  • Comfortable to work pro-actively in an international team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships across all stakeholders, internally and externally. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with various departments within an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment (team player).
  • High customer focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure in order to respect critical quarterly and yearly reporting due dates.
  • Solid understanding of data handling, operations and technical workflows with regards to financial reporting and closing operations.
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
