JOB DESCRIPTION

Aura is the unit intended to give Telefónica customers the powers of Aura: Simplify, Enrich, Empower and Transparency. We believe that the more software and hardware channels users could interact with Aura, the more benefits of those super-powers we could offer them.

On top of that we are building Movistar Living Apps, they are third-party applications that are integrated into the Aura Ecosystem to improve the consumer experience of customers at home through television, Movistar Home and mobile applications.

MISSION

. Implement LivingApps dialogs, delivering Aura use cases and features to the ecosystem

. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the Living Apps and its integrations

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

. Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable NodeJS code.

. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and Living Apps.

SKILLS

. Solid programming experience in Javascript and NodeJS.

. Solid understanding of Networking including IP/TCP/HTTP protocols.

. Good understanding of data-structures.

. Good knowledge of databases and cache engines.

. BS, MS or PhD degree in Telecommunication Engineer, Computer Science or equivalent work experience

. Ability to write well-designed and testable code

. Ability to work for and in a team

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

. 4+ years experience in software development

. 2+ years experience with NodeJS or JavaScript development

Plus:

. Experience with Microsoft bot framework is a plus

. Experience with frontend development stack (HTML / CSS / JS) are a big plus

. Experience in Java development is a plus

LANGUAGES

. Spanish - Full professional proficiency

. English - Working proficiency
