Sr. Program Manager EU Delivery Execution en Barcelona

Do you have strategic planning skills, quantitative analysis, and the ability to organize and deliver new initiatives involving leadership across cross-functional operations, software development, business, and external contracting teams? If so, the Central Delivery Team is looking for a Senior Program Manager with a proven delivery record to own and execute strategic, cross-functional projects.

This role requires working with business teams across the company to: define requirements and high level process/system solutions; lead cross-functional development teams and manage timelines for all software and field operations teams who support NPI project launches. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

To be successful in this position, we seek an innovative and analytical operations leader/program manager who has the knowledge and experience in direct-customer fulfillment operations. A key to influencing key shareholders is to have the ability to solve complex, technical problems with simple and practical solutions. Experience in defining project management, collecting requirements, designing processes and software solutions around: detailed functional specifications; coordinating efforts to scope, scheduling, cost/benefit analysis and new software deployment is paramount. Most importantly, you have the ability to effectively communicate your project management results to various departments within the organization.
Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate requires strong program management experience in the customer-fulfillment and/or a fast-paced logistics/distribution environment as you will be:

Building delivery strategy/infrastructure, standard execution and planning processes for ultra-fast delivery operations EU
.

· Planning, organizing, managing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders.


· Innovating for step-change improvement in delivery safety, quality, and cost metrics.


· Researching and conducting market analysis to partner with local teams to optimize delivery demand and experience for Amazon customers in each local market.


· Partnering with senior managers, directors and other key operational experts across the company to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives.


· Benchmarking Amazon’s internal ultra-fast delivery practices against best-in-class operations.


· Driving global standardization of delivery practices, businesses processes, and reporting with fulfillment center, retail, finance, marketing, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders.

· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

· Proven experience in direct-to-customer fulfillment or distribution center.

· Previous experience in cost/benefit analysis of project proposals.

· Candidates must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.

· Extensive experience as a program/project manager.

· Strong oral and written communication skills in English are crucial.

· The ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize is required.

· Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.

· An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial.

· Experience in or certification in Lean / Six Sigma Manufacturing methodologies

· Knowledge of transportation industry

· Experience of new business development or management of DSPs (Delivery Service Partners) is an advantage

· Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Macros, Queries)


· SQL, Data mining skills
