R&D Mechanical Engineer Internship en Sant Cugat del Vallès

Responsibilities:
Apprentice includes students working at hp who are enrolled in apprenticeship programs in association with their university. Typically used in countries where specialized apprenticeship programs exist. College Interns are university students who are working at hp during their study or in summer breaks between university semesters. College Intern is only used in selected countries where it is not the practice to differentiate based on academic year completed.

Description                                       

We are looking for a student to work in HP R&D mechanical department. Main tasks are related with  new design validation, integrate the solution with other teams, propose new ideas, design new parts and apply cost reduction activities in complex systems.

It’s an interesting position to learn about mechanism design, parts production and projects.

• Design of experiments
• Design of mechanical and electro mechanical systems                   
• Plastic parts and metal sheet parts design                                                         
• Test design for evaluation and validation of mechanical systems                                                           
• Elaboration of documents and presentations       
• Cost reduction activities

Technical skills

• Numerical resolutions of problems                                                       
• Machines and mechanisms design                                                        
• Tolerance design for manufacturability                                                
• Structural, dynamic and kinematic analysis of mechanisms                                                       
• Data analysis and statistical analysis                                                     
• Mechanical parts manufacture process

  • Excel, Word, Powerpoint                                           
  • Ansys (FEA, Multibody Dynamics…)                                        
  • Creo Direct modelling or other 3D modelling software

• Good English level to maintain technical conversations and write down documents   

Requirements: - Students of 4th year Engineering degree or first year of Master related in Engineering, preferably specialized in Mechanical Engineering. - English: medium level - high, - Minimum availability of 1 year to work part-time (4 hours / day) or full-time (8 hours / day)
