You will be part of the HP 3D System Product Management Organization. This is a highly impactful and visible role within HP that requires a synthesis of skills and experience to succeed.  The ideal candidate will bring a highly successful track record of system product management learnings to the role, manufacturing experience and will leverage the substantial resources of HP to identify and solve key customer problems at a level not yet seen in industry.  Working across teams with key support from marketing, engineering, finance and customer insights is critical and will require the ability to be both a great peer and a great leader.  The passion to lead a team to define compelling products supported by strong business models, and show how they are supported by the entire lifecycle of a product across the portfolio is at the heart of this role.  Leveraging that passion to change the way the world manufactures is what we are looking for!

This person will translate the Customer requirements into program addressable goals and will follow the development across the different components of the systems to ensure the delivery of the Value Proposition we are targeting. The selected candidate will work not only in program execution but also to influence the roadmap of HW, SW, services and materials both for HP and our partners to advance the state-of-the art in manufacturing.

For this role we are seeking leaders with an unique combination of customer focus, product management skills,  technical knowledge, strong project management and communications skills. Manufacturing and vertical expertise will be highly valued. The ideal candidate is a doer, with strong business and technical background and customer focus and a networker by nature. This person will be the bridge between the customer requirements and the technical specs for R&D.  Since this role will support multiple verticals, we are less concerned with deep industry knowledge (though this is a big plus) and more focused on the ability to learn quickly and identify critical factors of consideration for the solution definition and be able to influence the different parts of the organization to make it happen.

Responsibilities

• Define Systems across the portfolio that connect HP’s unique capabilities in ways that solve impactful customer problems.   
• Develop and continuously improve strategic business plans to support the entire plastics portfolio.  Push for innovation in how the different components of the system (HW, SW, Materials, Services….)  can drive business value for HP.
• Have and maintain a profound understanding of our target markets, customers, and how the existing solution landscape affects our strategic product vision.  
• Own products across the entire lifecycle, be a champion and CEO of products in the portfolio. 
• Deliver compelling communications across organizational boundaries and to senior management. 
• Inform and influence fundamental product management paradigms across 3D and potentially HP.  Mentor and grow product management excellence. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field (engineering or business) 
• MBA or other advanced degree in primary skills like project/program management is preferred 
• 10+ years relevant and successful product management, marketing, sales, or development experience 
• Demonstrated expertise as PM to design and deliver new features and capabilities for your individual projects. 
• Experience throughout the product lifecycle, including successful GTM and product support involvement to commercial/industrial customers 
• Deep and relevant industry experience in 3D CAD/CAM workflows, additive manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, across all customer touchpoints 
• Significant experience developing and articulating vision and strategy that meet business goals 

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to produce expert product requirements documentation, and implement proven product definition processes that scale to an entire portfolio 
• Hands-on experience with development team in prioritizing, planning, and delivering systems that meets stated requirements 
• Ability to deliver a minimum viable product definitions through careful and deliberate prioritization from long-term objectives 
• Must be organized, flexible & able to act independently, with ability to switch rapidly between different projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment 
• Adept at collaborating within a matrixed environment 
• Business mindset with strong technical skills.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including written, public speaking, and small-group presentation skills, including ability to communicate effectively with core team, extended stakeholders and leadership
