Senior Financial Analyst, Pan-EU Supply Chain en Madrid

Amazon is currently looking for a highly analytical, creative and forward-thinking Senior Finance Analyst to join its ever-growing Retail Finance team. The role can be located in Luxembourg, London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, or Munich.

Position Description

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will partner with the European Inventory Management business to drive cost savings and efficiencies in the Retail supply chain.

Working closely with our colleagues in EU Customer Fulfillment, the SFA will drive improvements in the inbound supply chain, transfers and placement, and cross-border fulfillment. Through your work you will identify productivity improvement initiatives and derive opportunities to boost the key drivers of the business.You will contribute directly to our ability to delight our customers with on-time, cost-effective delivery of packages across Europe.

Role Responsibilities
· Collect, consume and manage quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to identify business improvement and cost reductions
· Perform root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then work with the business to develop the improvement plans and new performance indicators
· Recommend, develop and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitability
· Manage the development of all planning, forecasting and reporting models. Look for opportunities to improve and simplify these models
· Guide our tactics and strategy with persuasive arguments backed up by solid data
· Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key data is accurate, automated and timely
· Providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multiple stakeholder environment
· Excellent analytical skills, including basic statistical analysis, advanced Excel skills and an ability to crunch huge amounts of data
· The ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
· Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
· Solid interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills
· Professional fluency in English (CEFR B2 or above)

· 5+ years finance and/or accounting experience in a corporate environment
· Demonstrated understanding of the principles of supply chain and logistics management, especially inbound logistics, placement, and transportation.
· Experience with VBA, Data Warehouse, COGNOS and SQL (Redshift) is a strong plus.
· Master's/Bachelor's degree in business, finance, math or related field, or relevant work experience
