Job Description

The EU Fashion team continues to innovate on behalf of our customers through changes across our buying automation, our delivery speeds and our onsite customer experience (to name just a few).
We are looking for a dynamic, organized and self-starting BIE Leader to develop strategic insight into our business performance as we continue to quickly drive a wide number of initiatives and programs. In this role, you will design and lead the execution of new business intelligence solutions end-to-end for our program management and category management teams. You are expected to support the business through the development of metrics and reporting solutions, data manipulation and in-depth analysis. You will lead a team responsible for building out the tools for analysis and data visualization as well as the processes to inform our business decisions. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and managerial skills and the ability to prioritize well and communicate clearly, as well as having a consistent track record of delivering results by applying business intelligence and analytics. This role offers an opportunity to support business-critical decisions that will minimize costs while enhancing our business performance for our customers. The position can be located in London or Munich. Other main European Amazon offices could be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Building a high performing team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Analysts.
· Leading the direction for our data structures for the EU region and engaging with other worldwide teams on data structure and best practices.
· Developing our next generation of reporting and insight tools for our teams across Europe.
Your team will be expected to
· Use Research machine learning algorithms and implement by tailoring to particular business needs and tested on large datasets.
· Partner with Business teams to drive requirements for new reporting and insights.
· Be a thought leader on data systems, data mining and analysis to scale our capabilities, uncover trends and develop insights.
· Develop a long-term business intelligence strategy/analytics/tools roadmap and self-service reporting capabilities, new input forecasting methodologies and drive the implementation end-to-end.
· Work with extremely large datasets and manipulate/mine data from database tables (Redshift, Oracle, Data Warehouse).
· Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
· Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
· Seek opportunities to inject advanced analytical techniques into the EU Fashion business.
Basic Qualifications
· Graduate degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field.
· Signficant professional experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics position.
· Proven ability to lead analytics and data teams, deliver actionable insights, and apply strong judgement to prioritization.
· Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics, and build reports.
· Strategic thinker with ability to understand business strategy, provide consultative business analysis, and leverage technical skills to create insightful, effective BI solution.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide and senior audience, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
· MBA / Masters / Ph.D degree.
· Experience leading large scale process improvement initiatives.
· Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, and demand modelling.
· Experience in Statistical Software such as R, SAS, SPSS, MINITAB.
· Proficiency with TABLEAU, Microsoft Excel to include making charts, data manipulation, pivot tables, creating macros, and visual basic knowledge.
· Experience using one or more Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, C++ programming languages.
· Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
