The HP Barcelona site is the worldwide headquarter for HP's Graphic Arts Business. It hosts the HP 3D printing business, having worldwide responsibility for the Research and Development (R&D), Marketing and Operations for them 

We are seeking a Solution Architect experienced in Smart Manufacturing (or Manufacturing 4.0) that will join our Graphics Solutions Business & 3D IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, designing and developing end-to-end technical solutions. In this role, you will translate customer needs and requirements into detailed technical offering, solutions, and proposals. You will provide guidance, mentoring and technical leadership to development teams through different stages of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership as a senior architect to the technical team and business around Manufacturing 4.0 and engineering team.
• Provide recommendations to senior management on strategic issues based on technical expertise and knowledge of industry trends. Thought leadership.
• Create update/revisit existing roadmaps for the organization that the team executes to.
• Ability to present/explain decisions and strategy to the team and business
• Build Smart Factory ecosystem and co-create digital solutions with partners and customers
• Ensuring designed systems are scalable, robust and cost-effective, requiring minimal maintenance and can be easily evolved to meet future business needs around Digital Factory Strategy.
• Coordinate with other technical teams to define the platform technical architecture and to deliver optimal integrations with the surrounding systems e.g. coordination with security expects for security-related issues 
• Work as an effective team member by communicating relevant issues, requesting feedback and coaching junior team members. 

• Must:
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent 
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience 
• Highly desired:
  • Experienced Cloud Architect (preferably AWS), IoT, Machile Learning, Cognitive Experiences, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Connected devices, Connected workers
  • Experience in web architecture, Serverless architecture & Microservices
  • Deployment/orchestration tools (i.e. Jenkins) & DevOps practices
  • Experience in Manufacturing operating model design.
• Desired:
  • MBAs or business bachelors.
  • Well versed in Security Best practices
  • Knowledge on PTC solutions
  • Experience in Design Thinking

• Must be able to demonstrate ability to get hands-on when needed.
• Familiar in project management and vendor / partner management
• Proven experience on leading and influencing distributed development teams as well as incorporate SaaS solutions
• Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Solutions architect in digital technologies
• Strong gravitas and ability to influence senior executives.
• Good in business analysis and problem solving
• Willing to learn new solution and technology and possesses innovative thinking.
• Positive thinking and good attitude .
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with effective communication to convey complex technical concepts to peers and senior management.
