Clustering and Assortment Optimization Product Owner en Barcelona

To join our international Category Management team based in Barcelona, we are looking for an expert in retailer’s assortment optimization.

As Clustering and Assortment Optimization Product Owner, you will lead the systems deployment that will help 13 countries in the group to improve their category management processes. The role requires an expert level on this kind of tools because you will teach end users in every country and you will make decisions that will improve the software to meet better the standards of our industry. Clustering knowledge is a plus, this will be also one of your responsibilities, but we are open and prepared to teach the right candidate.

• Agile methodology, use of JIRA and Confluence to track the backlog (or similar solutions)
• Expert level on an assortment optimization tool is a must (such as JDA, Nielsen, Oracle, Relex or others), clustering knowledge is a plus. You have previous experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager
• Desirable soft skills for this position are: Passion for teaching, outstanding oratory skills, leadership, skilled to get results through others, sense of urgency, determination, open minded, excellent organizational and time management skills
• Fluency in English is required for this role, other european languages are a plus
• Experience in Consumer Electronics industry is not a must
• Availability to travel. Peak periods 2-3 days per week, standard periods, 2-3 times per month.

• Manage dependencies with other teams: Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product – supported by our Agile Coach
• Define product vision, road-map and growth opportunities 
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
• Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
