Deployment Services is part of the Global Support and Deployment Services organization and is focused on delivering world class services to help our customers maximize value of DellEMC Storage, Data Protection and Converged Solutions. Our service Portfolio consists of implementation (design & planning, installation & implementation, configuration & integration, upgrade & expansion), data migration and residency services. Our key objectives are driving world class customer experience, industry leading team member experience and services growth, as well as contributing to the financial success of Dell Technologies with profitable services revenue.

A DELL EMC Project Manager works closely with sales, customer service, partners, customers and other technical support groups in cross-functional teams. Together, they manage the lifecycle of highly complex, high risk projects - from design to delivery. In this particular project, he or she will be responsible for delivering on commitments to clients while creating an environment for growth and innovation. This role also defines and maintains the catalogue of professional services, as well as providing consulting assistance for customer transformation, cloud guidance to its internal customer communities, enabling them to better define and plan their cloud needs and proactively anticipate business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain in-depth knowledge of internal client’s business, understanding the client’s vision, goals, objectives, and how they relate to the cloud business objectives.
  • Comprehensive vision of the services offered by the private cloud and the roadmap defined for each one of them.
  • Based on customers needs, identification of improvements in the services offered by the cloud.
  • Definition of the cloud professional services catalog: KPIs and governance model.
  • Management of alliances with suppliers for the management of services. Tracking of contracts.

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Sr. PM level with a variety of roles and complexities of IT project management
  • Proven experience in an IT operations environment preferably as a vendor or with client-side vendor integration experience
  • An understanding of mid-range computing platforms, storage and networking
  • Experience with VMware, virtualization and cloud in general
  • Solid soft skills and a proven ability to drive results in high pressure situations
  • Flexibility to manage projects and operational initiatives that are not projects
  • Experience in AGILE projects and environment
  • PMP/PRINCE2 certification

Preferred Requirements

  • Accuracy in managing financial metrics
