ModelBank is the transformation program of ING Group that will unite ING Retail businesses in four Challenger countries– Spain, Italy, France, and the Czech Republic– onto one advanced digitalplatform serving more than six million customers: this is what we call theRubik platform.

All thisinnovation occurs at our offices in Las Rozas, Madrid, in an internationalenvironment where the common language is English.

So,would you like to know what we do?

A normalday starts with the Daily, the stand-up meeting where we share with ourcolleagues what we did the day before, the new tasks that we are going toperform that day, and if there is any issue we need to brainstorm to solve it.

TheInfra Devops team have a group of engineers, a Product Owner, and a ScrumMaster. The latter guides all the agile meetings and ceremonies. Besides theDaily, you will have some more agile meetings during the day that will help youto prioritize and solve any issues you may have. Also, during the week, weusually have some Refinements meetings to clarify the user story´s  rincidents\ problems  that we know we are involved in.

Afterthe Daily, you can take a break with your colleagues. We have a food corner anda great terrace where you can have breakfast (there is no diet at Model Bank,so please don’t hesitate to take that extra croissant). Then you go back withmore energy to focus on our support queue and working towards meeting oursprint Goal. We always work as a team and not just a group, this means that wedo not work individually and try to help each other when it’s necessary.

At noon.you will go out to have lunch with your colleagues. It can be at the Chineserestaurant close to the office, to the malls that are really close to thebuilding, or you can eat at our canteen or food corner. After lunch, you canwalk a little bit or go out to the terrace to sit in the sun (summer iscoming).

Theafternoon goes by fast, working on the functionalities and participating inguilds to improve our skills in interesting stuff like pipeline & tools,database, and more.

In our program, infra Devops Experthelps to develop, operate and maintain the infrastructure platform for theapplications of modelbank. Deliver a stable and working infra environment inproduction by giving the best use to technology and development practices (thatworks for all machines, not only yours!), adding value on their technical layerwhile keeping in mind the rest of the technical stack and overall development.

Theareas where you are going to have major responsibilities will be: Operation and maintenance of operating systems Redhat Enterprise Linux 7,middleware and web server technologies, develop the next generation applicationhosting platform based on containers and open shift, and ITSM servicesmanagement.

We know that you want to talk about technology, sohere it is what this position will be working with: Continuous Deliveryconcepts, processes and methods, Redhat Enterprise Linux, PL/SQL, Java,platforms like NGinx, Tomcat, Virtualization and cloud environments,containerization (Openshift, Kubernetes) and component deployment frameworks,Microservices architectures principles and challenges, maintenance ofProduction environments, following ITSM principles, Ansible, and scripting. Andwe will really appreciate knowledge in Agile methodologies with SCRUM, Kanbanor XP, and retail banking.
